William D. Hodgson, M.D.
Dr. William Hodgson is a highly skilled physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor who specializes in conservative orthopedic treatments, including ultrasound-guided and platelet-rich plasma injections. Focusing on restoring functional abilities and maximizing the quality of life, Dr. Hodgson is committed to providing his patients with the specialized care they can trust to get back to their healthy, active lifestyles.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, Dr. Hodgson went to East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee, to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree. Following medical school, he completed an internship at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia, and then his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
Dr. Hodgson is an expert at caring for traumatic brain injuries and joint and back pain as well as in electrodiagnostic medicine, occupational medicine, and sports medicine.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Hodgson enjoys sports and blues guitar, watching Tennessee football, and spending time outdoors fly-fishing, camping, and hiking.
