Bart McKinney, M.D.
Dr. Bart McKinney is an orthopedic surgeon with additional subspecialty training in arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of sports-related injuries. He earned a bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University and received his medical degree at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine.
He performed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. As a fellow, Dr. McKinney worked side-by-side with renowned orthopedic surgeons Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Lonnie Paulos, performing surgery on many professional athletes. His team physician experience included coverage of Auburn University football and athletics, University of West Florida athletics, and the Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida.
A native of east Tennessee, Dr. McKinney resides with his wife, Laura, and daughter, Samantha. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, sports, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor recreational activities.
