For acute orthopedic injuries, simply WALK-IN to one of our Orthopedic Urgent Care. Available at our Bristol Regional Medical Center, Elizabethton, and Johnson City locations.

After-Hours Information
At Appalachian Orthopedics, our doctors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need to reach one of the Appalachian Orthopedics doctors on weekends or after regular office hours, please feel free to call one of our four locations: Abingdon, Bristol Regional Medical Center, Elizabethton, or Johnson City.
Our answering service will contact the on-call doctor, and he or she will return your call.
Please note, calls after office hours and on weekends should be reserved only for real emergencies and not for routine questions or medication prescription refills.
Prescriptions & Refills
New prescriptions and refills are only issued during our normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can request a prescription by calling one of our four locations: Abingdon, Bristol Regional Medical Center, Elizabethton, or Johnson City. Appalachian Orthopedics will not refill or prescribe pain medication after business hours. (This policy is dictated by state government policies.)
